Flowering Fade

Flowering Fade

It happens so subtly at first,

a slight discoloration or sigh,

a bowing to gravities’ entrance

that before was unnoticed.

The hectic doing-ness of days,

trade’s blurring to and fro,

makes flowering fade faster

than plunging cliff waters.

A tight bouquet of possibility

incrementally shifting, loosening

to time’s vulnerable sway,

shaking beauties’ hand farewell

as falling petals hush

to deconstruct another phase.
